Technically B2B was created to share the lessons, concepts, and stories I’ve gathered from years in the trenches of IT and Digital Transformation within B2B organizations. These aren’t academic-first insights, but grounded observations I’ve made throughout my journey from an infrastructure engineer to an IT executive at a billion-dollar distributor, and everything in between.

B2B has been part of my life since I started walking, growing up in a family deeply rooted in the industry. I’ve witnessed firsthand the positive impact this industry has on local communities, global economies, and beyond. It also comes with unique challenges you won’t find in digitally born organizations.

In my professional career, I’ve seen how technology can transform businesses but only when paired with rational strategy and strong leadership.

This publication is my creative outlet and a way to turn the constant “silent thinking” into something others can freely consume. Who am I?

Jacobi Zakrzewski - Your Standard Issue IT Guy

I’m Jacobi Zakrzewski, a technology professional with over 14 years of experience contributing to and leading IT functions in complex B2B organizations. My career has taken me through roles in IT support, enterprise architecture, digital modernization, sales, and leadership within the B2B industry. Along the way, I’ve worked to align technology with business goals, drive operational excellence, and be a trusted business partner.

While I may be considered “young” by some standards, my career has been shaped by a willingness to take on high-visibility projects, a passion for systems thinking, an eye for recognizing patterns, and a relentless commitment to continuous learning whether it was on the assembly line or in the board room.

This journey has been as much about hard work as it has been about learning from challenges—and occasionally finding the humor in them. Throughout my content you will find plenty of homegrown visuals, meme-based parallels, and analogies to help explain concepts.
